Dan Dauplaise

Dan is a lifelong resident of Stamford and soon-to-be Stamford Public School parent. Dan grew up speaking Spanish as the son of a Cuban immigrant mother. He began his teaching career in Manhattan

Stamford resident Dan Dauplaise, D, is running for a seat on the Stamford Board of Education in the November, 2019, city elections.

EXPERIENCE

Currently working as an attorney advising a spectrum of clients internationally

Teacher with hands-on classroom experience in special education and bilingual programs

As a current Board of Education member, Dan visits all 22 Stamford Public Schools to observe, classrooms, students, and teachers

Three years on the Board of Ed, serving as fiscal chair, overseeing the 300m budget

Dan will work tirelessly to put students first. He will identify areas that will benefit from economization and resource improvement

Dan believes that the elementary literacy rate should be the most important district priority and is dedicated to increasing it
